Welcome To The Winship Walling Website.

I am a time-served, versatile and creative Dry Stone Waller, registered with the Dry Stone Walling Association under its Yorkshire Branch and holds the Lantra Awarded Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Dry Stone Walling done through the DSWA. I am fully insured with a public liability of up £5 million. I also hold a CSCS Card HS&E Tested.

Whilst the majority of my customers are located in Yorkshire, mainly Nidderdale, jobs further afield are also welcome.

Although my speciality is Dry Stone Walling, and most of my work continues to be, and always will be mostly Dry Stone work, I am also skilled in Mortared Stone Walling and have experience with traditional Lime Mortar mixes for walls and buildings needing to meet traditional heritage specifications.

All sizes of projects are catered for, from small-scale domestic garden walling, incorporating landscaping, decorative and bespoke features, to larger scale stonewall developments such as Trust, Heritage and Utility projects.

I regularly supply training days for the general public at a choice of many desired locations between Skipton and Masham. All class days are fully insured. One to one personal tuition is available too, but naturally it would make financial sense to organise yourselves a small group of no more than 6 people ideally. Weekend two day training courses are available too.

See: Gallery for examples of work.

Harrogate Borough Council Press release issued: 27 June 2014

“Scott has created a remarkable piece and I am delighted that Masham was chosen as its location. In modern times, cairns are often erected as landmarks. The place the Tour entered our district is such an event that warrants this incredible landmark which I hope will remain for centuries to come.”
